Job Description
The Credentialed Trainer leads end user training using the curriculum approved by principal trainers. Develops training documentation that is approved by Principal Trainer. Assists in maintaining Epic Training Class Schedule and corresponding attendees. Facilitates Clinician/end user efficiency sessions, one-on-one meetings, and department-based sessions. Credentialed trainer also provides at the elbow support and collects valuable feedback from end users and reports that information to the principal trainer. Credentialed Trainers will represent Epic in operational meetings as needed. Reviews new application enhancements/upgrades and assists in development of implementation plans. This individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

Learns about end-user workflows and job responsibilities.

Learns both system applications and the organization's specific workflows.

Implements the training program for EHR application as instructed by the Principal Trainer.

Assists in testing the training environment and materials.

Responsible for keeping current with system changes and enhancements to ensure a thorough knowledge of the clinical information systems as they relate to both physicians and clinical staff.

Participates in clinic rounds and one on one sessions with end users.

Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications

Knowledge of the principles/theories of learning and competency-based education.

Ability to assist users in developing best practices utilizing proven workflows.

Ability to conduct training session in the classroom as well as one-on-one learning.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask are critical.

Interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.

Organizational skills.

Education:
-
Bachelor's Degree is required.

Experience:
-
Minimum of One (1) year of Epic or healthcare clinical, healthcare business experience OR an equivalent combination of comparable skills, education, training and/or experience is required.

This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
