Tesla is advancing humanoid robots for large-scale automation of repetitive tasks. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic engineer to join the Optimus Powertrain Design team, with a focus on powertrain modeling design to drive innovative robotics solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for developing advanced MATLAB functions to model humanoid powertrain performance, contributing to a multi-physics modeling codebase.
• Perform design optimization studies.
• Process Big Data, extract useful system-level information to aid powertrain design, and visualize the results.

What You’ll Bring

• Ongoing Engineering studies (preferably at last year of studies).

• Strong programming skills (Python a/o MATLAB).

• Strong mathematical and physics background.

• Fluency in English.

• The following will be considered as plus:

• Understanding of algorithmic techniques and data structures.

• Understanding of optimization fundamentals.

• Understanding of electromagnetics and electric motor design.

• Understanding of mechanical modeling of motion transformation systems.
