The Tesla Battery Electronics team is on the hunt for a dynamic, driven, and passionate Senior Hardware Technical Program Manager ready to supercharge innovation. In this high-energy role, you will lead the charge in designing groundbreaking Battery Management Systems (BMS) PCBAs for Tesla's cutting-edge automotive, humanoid and energy products. These advanced PCBAs are crucial for driving safety, optimizing battery performance, and managing charge control—key to the heart of Tesla's high-voltage systems. You'll take the reins in every phase of product design, from pioneering new technologies and orchestrating engineering builds to managing the supply chain, communicating with stakeholders, ramping up production, and providing ongoing fleet support. • Efficiently oversee and communicate scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, and launch changes, ensuring smooth coordination and continuous communication with leadership, stakeholders, and team members
  • Work with agility in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicting priorities and meeting tight launch schedules
  • Ensure all designs have robust validation and execution plans to achieve quality standards and reduce project risks
  • Drive the initial NPI launch of products in both domestic and overseas locations
  • Serve as the primary interface between the design team and the supply chain and suppliers, ensuring optimal supply chain management and ramp-up plans for all designs, including both prototype and production representative PCBAs
  • Lead comprehensive product improvement projects, informed by fleet analysis of failures, production yield, and cost reduction initiatives outlined by executive management
  • Take a significant leadership role in the FMEA process for electronics, systems, and integration design areas
  • Create and optimize advanced product development and validation processes, making them easily implementable for the team while ensuring maximum value for the business

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Systems, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience of hardware technical project management
  • Demonstrated application of project and program management fundamentals to complex engineering problems
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks in parallel
  • Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals is a must and ability to understand sophisticated electronics system design a plus
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain personnel
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to understand complex problems and summarize in a simple way to a wide audience
  • Must be proficient user in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word; Experienced with JIRA, Confluence, and Enovia considered a plus
