What to Expect

Tesla's Electronics Test and Automation Group (ETAG) is the primary point of contact for ensuring the highest quality vehicle, silicon, and robotics electronics for our customers. Our mission is to support the development of test automation equipment and provide essential hardware and software infrastructure for Tesla electronics communities worldwide.

As an Engineering Technician you will be the main point of contact for Lab Operations, procurement, receiving, inventory management, material handling, and shipping activities for the Electronics Test & Engineering teams.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers, technicians, suppliers, and internal operations teams to ensure materials are sourced, received, tracked, and delivered efficiently to support equipment builds and deployments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM; Monday - Friday

What You’ll Do

  • Support procurement activities including sourcing components, creating purchase requests, tracking orders, and coordinating with suppliers
  • Receive, inspect and verify incoming shipments; resolve discrepancies, shortages, or damages with vendors
  • Manage inventory levels for electrical and mechanical components used ensuring accurate records and material tracking in internal systems
  • Organize storage areas and coordinate material handling, including delivering parts to technicians and engineers
  • Prepare and manage domestic and international shipments of equipment, assemblies, and parts
  • Maintain BOM templates, part numbers, supplier documentation, and support continuinous improvement in procurement and inventory processes

What You’ll Bring

  • Bring 4+ years of experience in procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain support
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with ERP/inventory systems and spreadsheets
  • Ability to handle physical takss (up to 50lbs.) and familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jack)

  • $30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
