About the role
Provide technical leadership for the architecture, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of large-scale virtual machine management and monitoring platforms. Lead identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. Optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI). Collaborate within Azure to develop platforms for managing and monitoring virtual machines at scale. Mentor and develop engineers at all levels through knowledge sharing and continuous learning Serve as a role model for an open and inclusive approach to problem-solving. Monitor other engineers across product lines, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions. Seek new knowledge and adapts to emerging trends, technical solutions, and patterns to enhance the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products. Also promotes consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineers. Leverage AI tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve productivity, accelerate engineering execution, and help the team adopt effective AI practices. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 6+ years experience in technical design, problem-solving, debugging, and architecting large system and seeing them to production. 6+ years experience in Linux/Windows OS internals, Kernel development. 6+ years experience with RUST. 6+ years experience in large scale system architecture, design, development, testing, and release, including but not limited to Cloud Infrastructure, system level application design and development, performance tuning, telemetry design and analysis. 6+ years of experience demonstrating programming skills and knowledge of architectural patterns for large, high-scale applications.
