Job Description
Functional Team Lead: Responsibilities include: Managing scope and requirements; Managing the work from functional design through test; Informing the Project Manager of issues that may affect other areas of the Project;Assisting in resolving issues; Participating in quality reviews of designs; Providing status to Project Management on a regular basis; Assisting with defining solution blueprint; Confirming and transitioning planning deliverable; Working with other team leads to confirm technical architecture analysis deliverables. The Functional Lead then transitions into the Development Lead.
Skills and Knowledge should include
Deep functional and technical knowledge of the application; Custom development experience; Strong analytical and supervisory skills; Technical Team Lead: Experience in managing teams with competing priorities and tight deadlines. Responsible for supervising deliverable development by software engineers and test analysts. Generally, a workstream will be further divided into cells or teams based on functional area, technical needs, and/or project lifecycle demands. Supervision includes assigning specific components to specific resources, reviewing deliverables (code, test scripts, unit tests, etc.), participating in checkpoints, reporting status to Project Managers/Workstream Leads, managing resource issues, integrating with other teams to provide a cohesive final product, and managing team level issues and risks.
