At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. If you are a self-motivated, high-energy individual who is not afraid of challenges, we're looking for you. Apple Media Services is seeking a proven Technical Data Product Manager to lead marketing data collection and dataset strategy for Apple Services.

The Technical Data Product Manager leads the marketing data landscape across Apple Media Services — Apple Music, Apple TV, Arcade, App Store, iCloud, Apple One, Fitness+, Sports, and Podcasts. This role unites Marketing, DS&A, Engineering, and Privacy teams to deliver reliable, privacy-compliant data for measurement, attribution, and growth.

  • Own the marketing data collection roadmap — identifying gaps, prioritizing instrumentation, and driving delivery with Client Engineering, Data Engineering, and Server Engineering teams

  • Partner with Marketing, Data Science & Analytics, and Business Intelligence teams to understand measurement needs; lead cross-functional instrumentation efforts across Apple Services ensuring consistent coverage of marketing touchpoints including push notifications, in-app journeys, upsell flows, and omnichannel signals

  • Ensure data collection adheres to Apple's privacy standards and global regulations; proactively incorporate new requirements into data design

  • Enrich marketing event data into downstream warehousing environments; design a scalable data strategy supporting marketing use cases across Apple Media Services’ ecosystem

  • Develop and maintain data taxonomy frameworks for marketing instrumentation — standardizing event schemas, attribution models, and reporting structures across lines of business

  • Define and own data contracts with engineering partners to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of marketing data

  • Perform root-cause analysis to troubleshoot data quality issues; continuously improve the data landscape by introducing new capabilities and optimizing storage costs

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to apply generative AI and emerging technologies to marketing data workflows — driving innovation, accelerating insights, and delivering increased business value across Apple Media Services

  • 5 + years in Technical Product Management, data engineering, or data science, preferably in digital media or subscription

  • Strong proficiency in SQL; experience with Python and PySpark

  • Deep knowledge of client-server analytics tracking strategies and marketing instrumentation (clickstream, push notifications, engagement events)

  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Vertica, or equivalent)

  • Experience with data pipeline design, ETL development, and data transformation best practices

  • Experience with dataset design, including projections, aggregates, metadata, and reference tables

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems

  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy principles, and global regulatory compliance (e.gGDPR, DMA)

  • Excellent communication and project management skills; strong analytical mindset with proven ability to deliver complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end

  • Relentless and tenacious approach to solving data engineering challenges — you persist through ambiguity, technical obstacles, and organizational complexity to deliver solutions that support business-critical decisions

  • Familiarity with marketing attribution, A/B testing, and omnichannel measurement is a strong plus

  • 8+ years of experience in technical product management or data engineering, with a track record of owning platform-level data products at scale (billions of events/day)

  • Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies such as differential privacy, federated learning, or on-device computation to enable privacy-compliant measurement at scale

  • Prior experience in subscription economics, customer lifetime modeling, or multi-touch attribution at a major digital media or technology company
