About Team

As part of the Replenishment & Forecasting team at Walmart, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest engineers/architects/data scientist and will have the opportunity to solve one of the most critical problems for Walmart

We are looking for passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our team & help us in building our next generation Inventory Flow Platform for Walmart. We drive $200B+ inventory replenishments annually. Optimization in flow will help drive down the inventory days of supply and reduce waste for perishable grocery – savings measured in billions of dollars – while improving in stocks. Effectively reducing the churn in Manual labor at store & other facilities

Doing this a Walmart scale – over 500 M store item combinations - makes it one of the largest and most challenging problems of its kind in the world while also being the most impactful. Talk to us if you are interested in taking up the challenge.

What you'll do

• Deliver capabilities impacting flow of items across Walmart chain of stores, DCs, FCs etc.
• Learn various aspects around upstream/downstream systems, data elements and their relevance to business.
• Adopt Walmart’s quality standards and develop and recommend process standards and best practices across the retail industry
• Research, learn & adapt new technologies to solve problems & improve existing solutions
• Participate in events to build innovative solutions
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

What you'll bring

• B.E/B.Tech from a reputed institution.
• Minimum of 6 years of solid Java experience.
• Good understanding in Big Data Ecosystem - Hadoop and Spark.
• Must have project experience with Spark.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot Spark jobs.
• Good understanding of distributed systems.
• Fast learner and quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Prefer individuals with high ownership and commitment.

Minimum Qualifications...

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

• Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 1 year’s experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
