Job Description This position is for an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst in the Applied Cryptography team. The role supports the implementation, operations, documentation, and maintenance of Visa’s Tier‑0 Applied Cryptography services, including enterprise encryption, tokenization, secure file upload, and credential management platforms. The analyst will learn through guided execution, documented automation workflows, and AI‑assisted tools (e.g., copilots/checklists) under the supervision of senior engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their cybersecurity career who is eager to build strong fundamentals, work on critical security services, and grow through structured training and hands‑on experience. Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities: Assist in the maintenance and operational support of enterprise encryption services protecting data at rest, data in transit, and transaction data. Provide onboarding and operational support for cybersecurity and data protection technologies including (but not limited to): ProtectApp, ProtectFile Vormetric Transparent Encryption Agent Voltage Tokenization Secure Data Appliance HashiCorp Vault OPSWAT MetaDefender Assist Cybersecurity Engineers in executing projects and service requests, use AI copilots to understand context and propose initial steps for review. Work with application teams, vendors, and cybersecurity architects to troubleshoot and resolve issues, collect diagnostics using scripted tools and AI‑assisted checklists. Support end‑to‑end implementation and change execution across Visa encryption services infrastructure. Support data protection service requests using predefined procedures and within agreed SLAs. Resolve incidents and problem tickets, collaborate with team members to drive timely remediation. Monitor and troubleshoot encryption, tokenization, secure file upload, credential management solutions, operating systems, and security protocols, provide fixes and documented resolutions. Support database protection capabilities including native and transparent database encryption, along with operating systems and file systems. Certify new product versions/releases by executing AI‑generated validation checklists and recording results with proper documentation. Support QA, UAT, and performance testing phases, automate routine test setup and data collection where possible. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, increase operational efficiency, communicate security topics to internal groups as needed. Document learnings and contribute to KB/runbook updates using AI‑assisted drafting with accuracy ensured through peer review. Participate in weekly on‑call rotation, including weekends, follow guided runbooks and escalate using structured AI summaries. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: 2 or more years of work experience. Basic knowledge of one or more programming/scripting languages such as Python, C, Java, or Ansible. Ability to follow structured procedures and operate in an SLA driven environment. Familiarity with data protection technologies, key management systems, credential management solutions, operating systems, and security protocols. Cloud security / cloud data protection exposure is a plus. Prior experience with automation using Generative AI tools and/or scripting (Python/Ansible/Java/C). Understanding of cryptography fundamentals and applied security concepts. Strong collaboration skills and ability to build effective working relationships across multiple teams. Self-motivated, flexible, results oriented, and comfortable with tight timelines.
