Job Description: About the Role The Senior Application Developer will design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade .NET applications supporting UPS Healthcare logistics operations. This role focuses on modern, API-driven systems developed to replace legacy platforms and enable secure customer portals, warehouse control, order management, and system integrations. The role requires strong hands-on development experience, deep understanding of system integrations, and the ability to deliver secure, scalable solutions in a regulated healthcare logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Design, develop, and maintain .NET-based REST APIs supporting business modules such as authentication and authorization; user and role management; inbound, outbound, and collection orders; warehouse operations; reporting and document generation. Develop and support integrations with PostgreSQL databases, file-based XML processing, and external systems. Implement and maintain secure authentication mechanisms, including token-based access and microservice-enabled login flows. Address security and audit findings by applying required controls and secure coding practices. Participate in code reviews, defect resolution, performance tuning, and application enhancements. Provide production support, troubleshooting API failures, data issues, and integration defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, architecture, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. Technical Skills: Proficiency in C#: The primary language for .NET development. Exposure to Angular-based frontends interacting with .NET APIs. Strong experience with PostgreSQL Web Technologies: HTML, CSS & JavaScript. Azure: Familiarity with cloud services and deployment. Exposure on Kubernetes orchestration platform to deploy, run, scale, and manage containerized applications automatically. Security vulnerabilities: Should have experience in addressing information security vulnerabilities & tech stack upgrade projects. Version Control: Using Git for source code management. Architecture & Security Experience working in microservices-oriented architectures. Knowledge of token-based authentication (JWT or equivalent). Experience addressing application security vulnerabilities and audit requirements. Domain Knowledge Experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse management systems is strongly preferred. Exposure to healthcare logistics concepts such as shipment tracking, temperature monitoring, regulatory documentation, and compliance-driven systems is an advantage. Methodology & Ways of Working Experience working in Agile development environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in distributed and cross-functional teams. Minimum Qualifications 7–12 years of professional application development experience. Strong expertise in .NET enterprise application development. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting mission-critical, customer-facing applications. Experience modernizing legacy systems.
