About the role
As Lead GNC engineer you will assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of our satellite's guidance and control systems. You will work closely with the Turion Space team across software and hardware systems while overseeing a team of GNC engineers.
Responsibilities

Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of satellite GNC systems

Software development including simulation framework, environmental models, and flight algorithms

Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with a focus on control systems, orbital mechanics, or similar

Experience developing Guidance, Navigation, and Controls systems on spacecraft
-
Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware and/or software from scratch

Software development experience in C++ or Python

Experience developing 6 degrees of freedom vehicle simulations or flight software

Capable of identifying and solving complex problems with little to no supervision or direction

Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Preferred skills and experience

Experience with low thrust trajectories

Experience with spacecraft propulsion

Experience with hardware in the loop simulation

Experience implementing algorithms for embedded systems

Software development experience in MATLAB, Simulink, or similar software/languages
