Technical Product Manager - Trust & Safety

About the team

The T&S GenAI & Emerging Product team's mission is to empower the development of GenAI models and applications. We do this by building a world-class safety, testing, and risk management system that ensures GenAI innovations are launched responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end content safety for TikTok GenAI products, driving cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Algo, Policy, and Operations teams. - Build and scale automated safety evaluation pipelines, and define robust, future-proof safety strategies for GenAI products and new feature launches. - Use data, model signals, and user feedback to proactively detect, prioritize, and mitigate safety risks, improving system performance and user trust at scale. - Lead complex technical programs across multiple teams, including roadmap definition, dependency management, execution tracking, and high-quality delivery. Influence technical and product direction by bringing clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, making principled trade-offs, and aligning stakeholders without direct authority. - Leverage AI (e.g., LLM tools, AI-assisted coding, automation workflows) to accelerate development cycles and enhance robustness of safety systems.
