About the role
The Global E-commerce, Seller Business team plays a critical role in driving the success of our Global E-commerce platform. We are dedicated to building and nurturing a thriving ecosystem of local and abroad sellers who bring diverse products, brands, and innovations to our marketplace on TikTok.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable commerce platform integrations across domains such as product catalog, order management, fulfillment, merchant onboarding, customer service, and partner ecosystem infrastructure. - Build highly scalable distributed systems supporting cross-platform synchronization for products, orders, fulfillment, reviews, and merchant operations. - Drive architecture decisions focused on reliability, scalability, API quality, merchant experience, and operational stability across large-scale commerce integrations. - Provide hands-on technical leadership through system design reviews, architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentorship. - Collaborate closely with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities supporting international commerce expansion initiatives. - Lead technical problem-solving across complex integration environments involving APIs, distributed systems, third-party platforms, and merchant infrastructure. - Partner cross-functionally with product, operations, partner, and engineering teams to improve merchant onboarding, retention, growth, and platform adoption.
