Work Schedule Other Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Summarized Purpose: We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Engineer II, Software Quality Assurance. In this role, you will support testing activities by executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring delivery of high-quality software products aligned with defined standards and processes. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 3 years of experience in software testing. Major Job Responsibilities: Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing. Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools. Collaborate with developers and testing team members to resolve issues. Maintain test documentation including test cases and execution results. Support testing environments and test data preparation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding of software testing lifecycle and methodologies. Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira). Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation. Exposure to Agile environments. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Must Have Skills: Manual testing fundamentals. Defect tracking tools. Basic SQL knowledge. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Good to Have Skills: Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium). Basic API testing knowledge. Domain knowledge (Healthcare/Life Sciences preferred).
