Senior Software Engineer Location: Hyderabad, India Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 5+ Years Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in building and maintaining robust data solutions. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing ETL workflows using Informatica, Strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills along with DevSecOps and working with Generative AI development tools to support complex data processing needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable data pipelines that power reporting, analytics, and business operations within a reinsurance team in Hyderabad, India. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows in Informatica to load data from multiple source systems Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages Analyze business and data requirements and translate them into scalable technical data solutions Performing data mapping, transformation logic design, and data validation to ensure high data quality Tune ETL jobs and database queries for performance, scalability, and reliability Work with large datasets related to Reinsurance Monitor and support ETL jobs, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data issues quickly. Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, and reporting teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for version control and release management Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree with 8 or more years of experience in application software solution development 5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development roles Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter for building and maintaining ETL workflows Advances proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning Expertise in complex SQL development, query optimization, and indexing strategies Experience with data integration across multiple source systems (databases, flat files, etc.) Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, or similar) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work in Agile or iterative development environments Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams Nice to Have Skills Experience in Reinsurance domain Knowledge of ProCede or Similar reinsurance administration systems Exposure to financial data, policy systems, or claims data Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services Experience leveraging AI/ML tools or automation techniques to improve data quality, streamline ETL processes, or optimize data operations Exposure to scripting or automation using Python, Shell, or similar tools to enhance data engineering workflows What We Offer Opportunity to work on advanced cloud automation and AI technologies Collaborative and innovative work environment Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Continuous learning and professional development opportunities About Us | Our Culture | What It’s Like to Work Here Every day, a day to do right.
