Technical Lead/Sr. Technical Lead - System IVVQ Engineer Thales India Engineering Competency Center (ECC) in Bangalore is seeking a Senior Technical Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for Hardware System and Hardware Solution design Engineer, trade-off analysis, feasibility studies, Proposal preparation, detailed design and IVVQ for various Thales products (Defense and aerospace applications) including Obsolescence redesign. Qualifications: B.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation engineering or equivalent with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience. Higher qualifications of Post-graduation is desirable. Domain experience in Defense, avionics and communication products is desirable. Key Responsibilities and Tasks As a Lead/ Senior Technical Lead System and Hardware Solution Engineer, you will be a major actor in the System Development, Validation and Test. Developing system requirements, requirement validation and contribute to architecture development. Maintain traceability of system requirements across hardware, software and firmware Perform trade-off analysis of different technologies and feasibility studies to propose the best architecture design Lead and co-ordinate the architectural studies of Hardware under his/her responsibility Identify risks and opportunities related to the hardware system architecture Help team to achieve “System level Design for testability and manufacturability” Integration of Hardware, Software and Firmware and performs IVVQ Development of Test Plan and Procedures Optimize designs to meet performance requirements. Suggest and Solve integration issues during verification along with different discipline Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive products/solution with quality standards and internal processes Develop high-level system development proposal from requirement. Skills Required Mandatory Skills: Electronics/ Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience on Hardware Board design , FPGA designs, Low level software design for Microprocessor/Microcontroller Hand-on experience in developing Embedded systems Hands-on experience in defining system architecture Hands-on experience in Integration of Hardware , Firmware , Software to test and solve integration issues Hands-on experience in Board Design and component selection to meet system requirements Hands-on experience in developing test plan (ATP, QTP etc.),procedure and perform test Hands-on experience in requirement analysis and validation Hands-on experience in writing test reports Knowledge of BSP and low level driver Experience in Ethernet based system development and test Different bus protocols like I2C, SPI, QSPI, UART, DDR3/4, PCIe, JTAG, IEEE 802.3, MII/RGMII Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Usage of Lab Equipment like DSO, Logic Analyzer , Ethernet packet testers, PCIe analyzer Good to have DO-254 development process Knowledge of Operating system e.g. Linux Configuration management tools e.g. DOORS/Polarion FPGA Firmware development and verification using VHDL/Verilog Educational Qualification Bachelor or Masters in Electronics & Communication or equivalent At Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
