About the role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with SEL customers and channel partners. Recognized as customer’s trusted advisor in partnership with leadership team.
- Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers. Determine, communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
- Maintain strong knowledge of all SEL products and teach customers SEL technology and innovation.
- Participates in strategic account and regional sales planning processes.
- Develop, maintain and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
- Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.
- Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedbacks and product issues.
- Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships. Responsible for leading price and commercial negotiations with customers.
- Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.
- Lead in improving marketing, sales, and engineering quality processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline (to qualify for Engineer title) or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales (to qualify for Professional title) (In Canada: Qualifies for Professional title if no P.E. license) 7 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment Demonstrated success growing sales in a territory Strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions Ability to travel Effective and engaging communication skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Fluent in local language and business practices Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)
