Position: Infrastructure Developer Location: Ottawa, ON Duration: Full Time, Perm Job Description: • Develop and deploy systems for hosting Halogen’s Cloud Management System and solutions. • Integrate with key SaaS infrastructure components and development components. • Interface with other key Halogen teams pertaining to internal and external solutions. • Developing in the SaaS Platform team at Halogen using:
- Spring Framework / Java – Code base.
- Postgres database.
- Big Data Infrastructure – Spark / Hadoop.
- Expanded report base and reporting framework. Desired Skills and Experience We expect that the successful candidate will:
• Have a Degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience developing web-based applications with Java/J2EE. • Have knowledge of Java Servlets, JSP, HTML, Javascript, Spring Framework and XML. • Have knowledge of shell scripting (BASH) and Unix operation systems. • Have demonstrated experience with:
- JBoss and Jetty
- Databases – particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL
- STS/Eclipse or similar IDE
- Ideally have knowledge of JQuery, Spark / Hadoop, and Nagios plugins / deployments
