The Data Engineering Squad is responsible for developing the Brightmine Data Platform, and you’ll be joining a supportive group dedicated to continuous learning and shared success. About the Role The SRE Lead is a leadership role responsible for guiding a team of Site Reliability Engineers to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing systems. You will combine technical expertise with people leadership to embed SRE practices, enhance system resilience, and continuously improve operational excellence across platforms. Responsibilities Lead and manage a small to medium-sized SRE team, including performance management, hiring, and development. Ensure alignment to SRE frameworks, standards, and operational best practices. Own prioritization of reliability engineering tasks within team backlogs. Lead incident management processes, including post-mortems and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Drive disaster recovery planning and production resilience testing. Support infrastructure cost analysis and optimization initiatives. Ensure team readiness for on-call support and incident response. Contribute to SRE capability building through training and coaching. Requirements Experience working with cloud platforms (such as Amazon Web Services) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Background in DevOps, site reliability engineering practices, or related areas. Understanding of site reliability principles and their application in improving software development processes. Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform). Ability to diagnose and resolve networking, performance, and optimization issues in distributed systems. Basic knowledge of Linux, networking, and storage fundamentals. Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar) is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a diverse team.
