Senior AI Systems Engineer

At Rehire, we are partnering with an innovative SportsTech & EdTech company to find a Senior AI Systems Engineer who will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and scaling AI-powered systems that transform sports data into engaging educational experiences.

We're looking for a highly technical professional with strong experience building AI-driven applications, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), processing structured data, and developing scalable, reliable systems with a strong focus on quality, automation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• · Design, develop, and optimize AI-powered systems using Large Language Models (LLMs).

• · Integrate AI APIs and external services to build scalable content generation workflows.

• · Develop validation frameworks, quality controls, and evaluation systems for AI-generated content.

• · Design automated testing and benchmarking processes to continuously improve AI performance.

• · Manage and integrate structured sports data from multiple sources and APIs.

• · Transform sports events and statistics into engaging educational experiences powered by AI.

• · Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Curriculum teams to deliver new features and improvements.

• · Optimize AI pipelines, workflows, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.

• · Maintain technical documentation and actively participate in Agile/Kanban workflows.

• · Support QA processes, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives across AI-powered products.

Requirements

• · 5+ years of experience developing software with Python.

• · Strong experience integrating REST APIs and LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar.

• · 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis.

• · Strong SQL skills.

• · 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining AI/LLM-based systems.

• · Experience designing scalable AI architectures and production-ready workflows.

• · Near-native or fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).

• · Ability to review, edit, and validate AI-generated content in English.

• · Experience working in Agile development environments.

• · Fluent written and spoken English (Required).

About the Position

· Work Model: 100% Remote.

· Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (PST Time).

· Contract Type: Part-time position.
