Job Title: Hadoop Developer / Admin

Duration: 6 Months Position Type: Contract to perm Location: Plano,TX Job Description: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, related field or Equivalent work experience 8+ years of professional experience in the field of information and technology.

5+ years of experience in Data Management/ data warehouse;

2 years hands on experience with Hadoop using Cloudera

5 years of Java experience

2 years of experience with Linux and database integration·

Experience in multi-threaded application

Experience with High Performance Computing and/or Grid Computing is a plus

Experience with Data Virtualization Solutions is a plus

Experience in SQL debugging skills

Experience with UNIX scripting.

Experience with NoSQL technologies is a plus

Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills.

Strong technical documentation skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to multi-task /change focus quickly.

End-to-end Incident and Problem resolution for Hadoop multi-tenancy platform and respective Applications.

Responsible to ensure that the applications met their required service levels

Responsible to support process improvements to continuously improve the stability and performance of the applications.

Identify system bottlenecks and opportunities for processing improvements

Application wellness

Prioritize workload, provide timely and accurate resolutions.

Perform in-depth research and identify sources of production issues.

Effectively perform root cause analysis of issues and report the outcome to business community and Management.

Develop / utilize core support tools and processes to perform work while improving day-to-day practices for support team members with the goal of delivering service improvements to the business.

Coordinate and work with the global production support team

Feeling of personal accountability for all areas directly or indirectly supporting the business/service area for which they are responsible.

Willingness to drive people on all sides of an issue to a common understanding and then drive them toward resolution.

Should be able to clearly communicate ideas in technical or business terms with their peers across IT.

Understands tasks and role, and does not need daily reassurances, yet maintains an open dialogue with all of the stakeholders.
