Senior Technician On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Senior Technician for a contract opportunity in Plattsburgh, NY. Senior Technician Job Details The Senior Technician will be responsible for problem isolation/identification and repair of mechanically complex currency handling equipment (acceptors, dispensers, recyclers). In addition, defective units will be updated to current engineering revision as defined by Fujitsu Frontech (Japan) Engineering, Fujitsu Frontech North America(company?) product management, and re-package / re-label the item for return to customer or refurbished material stock.
Initial efforts to include working with product management and Supervisor, Repair Depot, in the establishment of a repair depot.
Assist in initial certification and maintain compliance with ISO9001 requirements and other standards as required by Fujitsu Frontech (Japan), Fujitsu Frontech North America (the company), and specific customer requirements.
Complete required depot level training and the occasional ongoing training in Japan as required to maintain current with product operations/features and engineering product revision levels.
Assist in the development of all required repair depot documentation and test scripts.
Assist in defining required repair depot discrete item inventory levels, and tracking material usage long-term.
Using test software, perform requirement maintenance operations to identify device fault and apply appropriate level repair, conduct testing on repaired item(s) according to guidelines to assure device conformance to companies quality standards.
Capture device log file data and make available to product management for analysis.
Work with product management to identify and report reoccurring technical issues as ongoing efforts to effectively maintain a closed loop product quality control.
Maintain proficiency on depot level repair test software as required to fully test and qualify proper currency handling device operations.
Maintain ownership all repair depot test workstations and all special tools required to complete job function.
Take ownership in work assignments to maintain highest quality and strive for continuous process and quality improvement.
Testing and modification of the currency template file is repeated until the required level of product performance is achieved
Have the ability to remain focused on intricate details and requirements within the electromechanical modules, such as Cable Connectors, E-rings, Tie Wraps, Wire Routing, etc., such that they provide an optimum level of quality, functionality and clearance.
Adhere to company policies, ISO requirements, 5S, safety, and quality workmanship

Quality and Meticulously detail oriented on a consistent basis
Mechanically inclined
Strong trouble shooting, and repairing electro-mechanical skills, (isolate and resolve equipment problems as required)
Ability to work alone and prioritize work
PC literate / experienced with standard MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to use general hand tools, power tools, torque/measurement tools, DVMs and other shop equipment
Soldering skill helpful but not required
Ability to interpret mechanical drawing and electronics diagram or schematics is desired but not required.
Technical Associates Degree in manufacturing/mechanical/electrical engineering, or 3-5 years of directly related experience repairing mechanically complex equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A+ Certification
English required, Japanese is beneficial.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of internet software, Outlook E-mail, MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be willing to travel for training both domestic and international. Upon completion of training, represents up to 10% both domestic and international.
