This role will be working in Raytheon’s Combat System Support Agent team maintaining the RAN’s capability on the Hobart Class DDG Destroyers. You will be a member of a pool of systems, hardware, software, specialty engineering and logistics designers developing and implementing design changes to the Combat System, experiencing the whole design lifecycle from requirements definition through to customer Acceptance. With a physical presence at the DDGs home port you will have opportunity to interact directly with members of the DDG System Project Office and Ship Staff, the end users of your work. Positions are available at the DDGs home port at Garden Island, NSW and at Raytheon Australia offices in Macquarie Park, NSW, Mawson Lakes, SA and Cannon Hill, Qld Key Responsibilities: Defining and undertaking in a leading role as a Systems Engineer across the systems engineering lifecycle, including: Requirements solicitation and development System architecting and design solution development Functional integration Formal verification Liaison other disciplines within your project team Liaison with Subject Matter Experts both within the CSSA and with Raytheon’s functional leads Liaison with external stakeholders and working in an Integrated Product Team. Developing and delivering presentation material for regular stakeholder meetings and at major status reviews Provide accurate and timely information to project management related to progress status, risks and opportunities Share expertise and lessons learned with your peers Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Minimum 5 years) Demonstrable experience in one or more of the Systems Engineering lifecycle elements such as Requirements Development, Design Definition, Design Development, Integration and Verification Excellent written and oral communications skills essential. Use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable (e.g. DOORS) is highly desirable. Ability to take or develop into a leading role in the team is highly desirable. Experience in a Defence related industry is highly desirable Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV-1 Security clearance as needed.
