Raytheon Australia works closely with the Australian Defence Force as its trusted capability partner to deliver some of the most complex and ground-breaking engineering and technology projects in the country.

Since 2011, Raytheon Australia have been contracted to deliver facilities services in support of the Harold E. Holt (HEH) Defence Precinct in Exmouth, Western Australia. Home to the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), the C-Band RADAR and Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmission capability, together these systems add a critical contribution to Australia's space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.

Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a bright and energised Radar / Electronics Technician (C-Band) to join our inspired team.

Reporting to the Space System Supervisor (C-Band RADAR) you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, technical investigations, supporting configuration change activities, actioning customer requests and additional tasks to support both program and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities Performing planned and corrective maintenance on the C-Band RADAR System and associated Subsystems

Maintenance planning and reporting

RADAR calibrations and interpretation of results

Working in a LINUX system environment

Technical report writing

Logistics support

Maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international stakeholders

Only employees willing to relocate to Exmouth region will be considered for the role – relocation assistance may be considered

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Electronics (Communications or Control) or relevant technical discipline

  • Defence/Maritime Radar, Combat System, Complex Communication and/or Mechanical System experience

  • Excellent analytical/fault-finding skills

  • Ability to confidently operate and interpret data from a wide range of test equipment
