About the role
Job Title Senior System Engineer-thermal Job Description Job Responsibilities: • Leads internal investigations into technical complaints regarding development and system integration issues, driving resolution and implementing preventive measures to mitigate future issues. • Executes the system architecture design and implementation within the R&D group, overseeing the process from design initiation through commercial launch, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, working under general supervision. • Define and own system thermal design, including heat load estimation, cooling concept selection, and thermal margin management to ensure performance, reliability, and patient/operator safety. • Perform thermal analyses (steady‑state and transient) using simulation and analytical methods to support architectural decisions, component selection, and risk mitigation. • Analyzes anomalies within systems and determines steps to reproduce, identify root causes, and propose solutions, effectively communicating with cross-functional teams and project management to drive resolution. • Contributes to gathering, analyzing, and reviewing system-level and sub-system requirements, coordinating system partitioning and total system integration using systems engineering practices. • Handles system requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams, leads risk management activities, and facilitates system test planning, including the identification of necessary tools and resources for verification. • Aids to improve process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers and cross-functional groups, analyzing activities to enhance workflow efficiency, and utilizing appropriate engineering tools and methodologies. • Provides training and consultations on leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making processes, enhancing the team's capability to drive impactful decisions. • Suggests design recommendations to improve system reliability and address conflicting requirements, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. • Provides guidance and program-level management support to the systems organization involved in all aspects of product development, including concept exploration, system definition and design, testing, issue investigation and resolution, and continuous improvement. • Evaluates system performance and reliability through experimentation, data analysis, and implementation of improvements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards. Minimum required Education: Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent. Minimum required Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as System Architecture, System Design, Thermal design, simulation, Hardware Engineering or equivalent OR no prior experience required with Master's Degree. How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
