Job Title IT Solution Architect Industry 4.0 Job Description The Solution IT Architect – Industry 4.0 drives the architecture and design of digital manufacturing solutions across Philips' global enterprise landscape. This role connects business strategy, manufacturing operations, and technology by enabling scalable, secure, and future-ready integration between MES platforms, SAP ERP (ECC and S/4HANA), and shopfloor systems. The architect plays a key role in advancing Industry 4.0 capabilities through global deployments, seamless IT/OT integration, and data-driven manufacturing enabled by analytics and AI. Your role: Lead enterprise architecture for Industry 4.0 and Digital Factory initiatives, enabling scalable integration of MES, SAP ERP (ECC/S4HANA), and shopfloor technologies while driving alignment with business and manufacturing objectives. Define and govern architecture roadmaps for manufacturing platforms, managing architecture assets, risks, standards, and stakeholder alignment across the evolving Industry 4.0 landscape. Design end-to-end solution architectures for Industry 4.0 use cases, including: MES design and implementation SAP ECC and S/4HANA integration OT–IT integration and equipment connectivity Data enablement for analytics and AI-driven manufacturing Drive integration across manufacturing ecosystems by governing connectivity between shopfloor systems, MES platforms, SAP ERP, and enterprise data platforms to enable real-time orchestration, traceability, and operational excellence. Guide technology selection and platform evolution through architecture assessments, vendor evaluations, roadmap management, and support for global MES rollout strategies and Industry 4.0 programs. Provide hands-on architecture leadership during solution design and implementation, while fostering innovation in smart factory capabilities, advanced analytics, AI-driven optimization, and cloud-native manufacturing solutions You are the right fit you have: Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Enterprise Architecture or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of experience with Bachelor's OR minimum 5 years with Master's in areas such as: IT Solution Design MES implementation and manufacturing systems SAP ERP (ECC /S/4HNA) integration Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory environments Preferred Experience: Experience with global MES rollout programs and multi-site deployment architectures Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (MedTech, High-Tech, Pharma) Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, SAP BTP) and edge computing in manufacturing Experience with integration of shopfloor equipment, automation systems, and test machines Experience with manufacturing data platforms, analytics, and AI use cases Preferred Certification: TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification SAP or MES-related certifications (preferred but not mandatory) Compensation & benefits Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is € 78,187 –€ 130,312 . We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. This role is eligible for annual bonus with your rewards linked to KPIs and the company’s performance.
