Job Title Advanced Mechanical Engineer Job Description In this role, you have the opportunity to Mechanical Engineer in the Sustaining Engineering Team provides the successful candidate with an immediate opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to improving the Philips supply chain. You are responsible for In this role, you will focus primarily on improving the supply chain for medical equipment (Magnetic Resonance, Computed Tomography and Advanced Molecular Imaging, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray). Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Support global cross functional teams for assigned supplier transfer projects Build internal and external network to identify high impact supplier transfer projects that result in productivity, quality improvement, and reduction in Total Cost of Ownership. Manage the update, as required, of designs to improve manufacturability, performance, quality and cost Conduct supplier design reviews Review and ensure adequacy of supplier part qualification activities Execute and support phase in – phase out (PIPO) planning for assigned transfer projects Support input for make/buy analysis Support the deployment of early supplier involvement for assigned transfer projects Use appropriate project management tools, communicate plans and risk management techniques to create rigor in project planning and execution Participates in Dfx conventions to build cost reduction business cases and funnels Active participation in multidisciplinary teams through all phases of the supplier transfer process To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience B.S. in Mechanical Engineering MS in engineering preferred 5 or more years of proven design engineering and project management experience leading cross-functional teams Experience supporting global projects Experience with CAD software(s) Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and working in a regulated industry Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point, and Word required Strong English written and verbal communication skills required Why should you join Philips?
