Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Engineer (Design) to join our team! In this role you will get to work within a new PMO working on major highways / infrastructure projects in the KSA Capital, Riyadh City.
What You'll Be Doing
Performs complex design engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work (Concept & Detailed Design) efficiently and accurately. Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings. Have the ability to complete all mechanical design works include but not limited to tunnel ventilation system, HVAC, Plumbing Drawings, Pipe sizing, Pump Head Calculations for Chilled water Primary, Secondary & Distribution system, Condenser Water System, Side Stream Filtration system and Booster Pumps. Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments. Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project. Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses. May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. 15+ years of design work related experience. Experience in reviewing third party designs and coordinating comments for approval Experience of working within a multi-discipline team environment Proactive approach to own activities and helping in other disciplines, as far as practically possible, to assist in PMO overall efficiency
What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Previous experience of working in a PMO Charted (or similar) status with an industry recognized engineering body Master’s degree in mechanical engineering Experience managing large tasks and/or projects
