Job Description

Join Oracle Health Applications and help build the next generation of cloud-native EHR platforms that directly improve clinical outcomes.

We’re looking for senior engineers with deep Java expertise, exceptional debugging and problem-solving skills, and a passion for mentoring and elevating other developers. Experience with Python is also valued.

You’ll work at the intersection of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI to deliver intelligent, scalable, and resilient healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

Senior Principal Engineer – Cloud, AI & Healthcare Platforms (US Remote)

If you’re the kind of engineer who loves solving hard production problems, mentoring strong teams, and building systems that truly matter, this is the role that keeps senior developers engaged.

Oracle Health is building next-generation cloud-native EHR platforms that directly impact patient care at massive scale. You’ll work on distributed systems, Kubernetes, applied AI, and highly resilient healthcare infrastructure — with the autonomy to influence architecture, engineering direction, and product strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect and build large-scale cloud-native healthcare platforms
• Solve complex production and debugging challenges across distributed systems
• Design AI-driven automation and AIOps capabilities
• Lead system design for scalability, reliability, and observability
• Stay hands-on with coding while mentoring and elevating other engineers
• Drive engineering excellence through design reviews and best practices
• Partner across engineering, product, and operations to shape technical strategy
• Lead critical incident investigations and root-cause analysis for high-impact customer issues

What We’re Looking For

• Deep Java expertise with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Python and/or shell scripting experience
• Strong background in microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
• Experience building and operating distributed systems in production
• Engineers who enjoy mentoring, leading technically, and raising the bar for teams
• Bonus points for healthcare, EHR, HL7/FHIR, or Oracle Health experience

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
