Job Summary & Responsibilities Position Summary The Applications Engineer will provide technical on-site support to enlarge POR share, develop and maintain positive relationship with customers and will bridge new product penetration, support pre-sales efforts with technical presentations, BKM and white papers. Roles And Responsibilities: Perform system qualification, acceptance testing, and verification (FAT/SAT) to ensure equipment meets performance specifications Collaborate with customers to develop and optimize new applications using company equipment and technologies Conduct process testing, data analysis, and troubleshooting to achieve target results and improve process performance Provide technical support and application expertise during pre-sales and post-installation phases Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Product, Sales) to translate customer requirements into practical solutions Maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, technical discussions, and on-site support Identify and create opportunities for new applications and business growth within existing customer accounts Prepare technical reports, application notes, and documentation to support project outcomes Deliver training to customers on equipment operation, processes, and best practices Support continuous improvement of application processes and contribute to internal knowledge sharing Qualifications Required Education And Experience: More than 2 years working experience in semiconductor metrology area is preferred Fresh B.S./M.S. in Engineering Sciences, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Sciences Fluency in both written and Spoken English required Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Ability to deliver effective technical presentations to internal and external audiences Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with hands-on experimental experience Knowledge of basic semiconductor device physics Willingness to travel for customer support and on-site activities Experience with semiconductor fabrication and process integration is a plus Onto Innovation Inc. offers competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, including health/dental/vision/life/disability, PTO, 401K plan with employer match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) along with health & wellness initiatives.
