Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Journeyman Network Analyst supporting a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/HNJ) Communications and Networks Directorate provides sensitive command, control, communications, intelligence, and networks (C3I&N) and battle management (BM) capabilities spanning from kinetic weapon dominance to information dominance. The Division’s expansive customer base includes Air Force Special Access Program (SAP) communities, other Department of Defense (DoD) units, and national-level agencies. These customers increasingly require rapid fielding of advanced capabilities to counter emerging cyber and operational threats to U.S. national security.

Responsibilities

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Maintain, operate, install, and upgrade VTC bridges, networks, and systems, including secure encryption devices.

Ensure connectivity and quality of VTC connections; troubleshoot and maintain all associated equipment.

Coordinate with help desk technicians for daily VTC scheduling and maintain a database of VTC user sites.

Provide maintenance support to analyze, isolate, and correct operational faults on secure VTC systems and encryption devices.

Conduct quality assurance tests to identify project failures and review documentation for compliance with testing standards.

Install, test, repair, and maintain equipment racks, fabricate cables, and conduct preventative maintenance.

Schedule and support VTC operations, perform site surveys, and provide reports and updates as requested by the Program Manager.

Guide and assist COMSEC Custodial Responsible Officers (CROs).

Configure and maintain GEM X Encryption Manager server, Windows 2012R2 servers, Domain Controllers, DNS servers, and LogRhythm servers.

Perform Level III troubleshooting of networking and encryption components.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

  • Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience Certifications: N/A

  • Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of H.323 and SIP standards

  • Experience installing large scale VTC infrastructure systems

  • Knowledge of encryption types and brands

  • Knowledge of LogRhythm software

  • Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
