About the role
Application Engineer – Automotive MCU (2027 NCG Campus Hire) Location: Shanghai / Chongqing, China Responsibilities Collaborate with leading automotive customers, field application engineers, marketing, and sales teams to understand system requirements and support application development based on NXP automotive MCU solutions. Participate in the development of embedded software, evaluation platforms, reference designs, application notes, and technical collateral for automotive applications. Assist customers in debugging, integration, and technical issue analysis related to MCU hardware, software, and automotive systems. Support technical workshops, customer trainings, and internal knowledge-sharing activities. Explore and evaluate emerging automotive technologies and application trends, including automotive safety, security, zonal architecture, and vehicle networking. Work closely with global engineering teams to help customers accelerate development and successfully adopt NXP solutions. Build technical expertise in automotive microcontrollers, embedded systems, and software platforms through project experience and continuous learning. Basic Requirements 2027 graduate in: Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Microelectronics Computer Science Embedded Systems Automotive Engineering Software Engineering or related disciplines
Solid fundamentals in embedded systems and programming. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new technologies. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Willingness to travel when required. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas are highly preferred: Microcontrollers (MCU), SoC architecture, and on-chip peripherals Embedded C/C++ software development RTOS, device drivers, interrupt handling, multi-core systems, or operating systems Automotive software and standards, including: AUTOSAR Functional Safety (ISO 26262) Automotive Cybersecurity In-Vehicle Networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
