Senior Software Engineer, Data Analysis

We are looking for a passionate team member to contribute to our autonomous driving product! This role will support the development of our existing GeoTrack tool, conduct data analysis and route generation to enable global scaling, quantify map preparation metrics in detail, and help us build an intuitive Map Dashboard. You will collaborate closely with engineers across SIT, NVMap PM, V&V and other teams to deliver impact to our customers around the world!

What you’ll be doing

• Align with the PM team to clarify statistical requirements for various business scenarios

• Coordinate with Infra and Data teams to understand the data scope supported by our current databases

• Partner with front-end and back-end engineers to develop algorithms and data analysis pipelines for test route generation

• Sync up with the scaling project team to capture the underlying core requirements behind the dashboard

• Continuously iterate and optimize algorithm performance and runtime speed

• Collaborate with scientists and developers across multiple teams

What we need to see

• MS, or PhD degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Computer Science with a focus on Autonomous Driving, Map, or related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with mapping, navigation, SD map, HD map, SD+ and data analysis technologies

• Solid theoretical foundations in computer vision, autonomous driving and mapping systems

Ways to stand out from the crowd

• Experience in autonomous driving: evidence of practical experiments and projects within the autonomous driving domain, showcasing your ability to apply algorithms to solve sophisticated problems in this field.
