Mechanical Engineer - EPS Column/Gearbox Design Job Description & Duties: Using classic design methodology, the EPS Column - Gearbox Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis and Bill of Materials generation of column EPS gearbox.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Math modeling and design alternative analysis

Generate Bill of Materials for column EPS gearbox assemblies and champion change control of BOM. Interface with steering system application team members Support prototype and pre-production orders of column and intermediate shaft assemblies Interface with other regions and technical centers to support new business opportunities, application design and core technology roll out and application

Job Requirements & Qualifications: BSME 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering required. Math modeling FEA background Worm/reducer wheel and casting design background preferred Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and the Internet Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
