The Solution Engineer – Supply Chain will be responsible for the functional configuration, technical specifications, and implementation of SAP-based supply chain solutions. This position supports procurement, planning, inventory, quality management, and inter-company logistics in a global SAP ECC AFS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP MM, PP, QM, and IM modules, along with experience integrating with external systems and supporting cloud-based planning tools. This role will work closely with business users, the Solution Architect – Supply Chain, and other development teams to deliver stable and scalable business solutions. Key Responsibilities Support global SAP supply chain solution implementations across procurement, subcontracting, planning, and inventory management processes Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze functional requirements that align with business goals Conduct fit-gap analysis and propose practical solutions aligned with global standards and integration frameworks Prepare and maintain detailed functional specification documents Configure SAP MM, PP, QM, and IM modules based on approved business requirements Implement solutions for procurement planning, inbound goods handling, production order planning, and inter-plant logistics Integrate SAP ECC with external systems , supporting real-time and batch-based data exchanges Monitor system interfaces, background jobs, short dumps, and batch processes related to supply chain activities Support testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and help ensure seamless production deployments Document all work clearly and assist with user training and post-go-live support Coordinate testing cycles and maintain adherence to GIT’s solution manger and documentation protocols Respond to service requests efficiently and provide timely communication to end users Follow prescribed Solution Manager processes and maintain complete documentation lifecycle (CC, FS) Leverage and deploy Generative AI-assisted data analytics and apply logical constructs to custom programming steps to design efficient, scalable business solutions with minimal reliance on development resources Area of Focus SAP ECC AFS MM, PP, QM, IM configuration Procurement: PO lifecycle, subcontracting, vendor portal integration Planning: MRP, procurement planning, demand/supply planning Quality Management: inbound quality checks, inspection lots Inventory: movement types, stock monitoring, inter-plant transfers Production order planning and integration with material availability Integration with SAP IBP demand planning system and other modules of SAP ABAP-related debugging, enhancements, and collaboration with developers Custom reporting and lifecycle-driven enhancements System monitoring, performance optimization, and batch processing Design, architect and enhance supply chain business processes Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Preferred: Postgraduate education or certification in SAP Supply Chain modules Experience Minimum 1 full lifecycle SAP implementation in supply chain functional areas 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP MM, PP, QM, and IM process design and configuration Experience with procurement, production, inventory, demand planning, and subcontracting processes Exposure to MRP logic, exception handling, and planning execution Experience integrating SAP with cloud-based tools like SAP IBP or APO (preferred) Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and functional debugging Designed and architected solutions to support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes, including integration of SAP systems with internal and external applications Familiarity with ABAP-based enhancements and collaboration with development teams Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Movado Group, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
