Role Overview

The Lead Prompt Engineer / Annotator – Vice President, Research Technology Management (RTM) will drive collaboration between prompt engineers and annotators, ensuring seamless workflows and high-performing teams. This role partners closely with business analysts to identify and define high-impact AI use cases, continuously refining prompt strategies based on AI output analysis and performance metrics. The VP will also oversee the evaluation and optimization of deployed AI tools to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The Lead Prompt Engineer/Annotator will also work closely with product support teams to troubleshoot and fix prompt- and content-related issues. A team of India-based prompt engineers and annotators will report directly to this role. Key Responsibilities Lead and collaborate with onshore and offshore prompt engineers and annotators.

Design, implement, and manage efficient workflows for prompt development, testing, validation, deployment, and monitoring.

Continuously evaluate AI outputs to refine prompt strategies and improve performance.

Partner with subject matter experts, business users, and technologists to identify automation opportunities and develop GenAI/LLM-based solutions.

Monitor and analyze prompt performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Support business users in crafting effective prompts for individual use cases.

Ensure all prompt-based solutions comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Oversee the ongoing evaluation and enhancement of deployed AI tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications Min 2 years of hands-on experience in prompt engineering and annotation.

Proven experience developing AI solutions for enterprise environments.

Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of prompt engineers and annotators.

Strong collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Experience working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.

Analytical mindset with a focus on detail and process optimization.

Familiarity with financial services, investment research, investment banking, or financial analysis is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in foreign languages such as Spanish, Japanese, or Chinese is a plus.

Experience with Python is a plus

Data engineering and data science experience is a plus
