About the role
Lead end-to-end lab operations and support for SCHIE engineering teams across a major site and global lab environments. Drive lab strategy, capacity planning, and execution to ensure readiness for current and future engineering programs. Own lab infrastructure planning and readiness, including space, power, cooling, network connectivity, racks, tooling, and operational support. Lead AI and compute lab deployments, including rack integration, cabling, power distribution, network bring-up, validation, and milestone readiness. Manage lab projects, schedules, budgets, risks, vendors, and procurement activities to ensure on-time delivery. Drive new lab site build-outs, expansions, migrations, and platform refresh initiatives with minimal impact to engineering productivity. Manage infrastructure constraints, dependencies, and prioritization across multiple programs, providing clear escalation paths and decision frameworks. Partner with engineering, operations, finance, facilities, and cross-functional stakeholders to align lab investments and execution plans. Coordinate lab standards, resource sharing, inventory management, and operational processes across SCHIE locations worldwide. Establish and improve scalable lab processes for safety, security, compliance, asset management, audits, and operational excellence. Ensure accurate documentation, runbooks, and communication to support efficient lab operations and knowledge sharing. Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience. 5+ years of program management experience managing cross-functional work with diverse teams. 5+ years of working knowledge of network equipment, peripherals, and Artificial Intelligence & Compute hardware. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience Demonstrated leadership and influence across cross-functional engineering, operations, or program teams. Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools. Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment. Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated organizational and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail. Experience developing and reporting operational metrics, dashboards, and analytics.
