About the role
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for data center applications, such as structural engineering, thermal management, cooling, airflow, and acoustics. Perform engineering analysis, simulation, and testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of the products and solutions. Prepare and review technical documentation, such as design specifications, drawings, test plans, test reports, and patents. Support the fabrication, assembly, and installation of the products and solutions in the data center environment. Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of the products and solutions in case of issues or failures. Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the mechanical engineering field and data center industry. Communicate and present the project status, results, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience. 10+ years' experience with mission critical mechanical systems 10+ years' experience with designing systems and/or developing products for industrial or mission critical environments Experience with cross-disciplined systems design (electrical, IT/Telecom, supervisory control and data acquisition) Experience with data center thermal systems design, analysis, and optimization of cooling systems for data center environments, hydronics, cooling distribution, liquid to liquid and liquid to air heat exchangers Experience with data center and data center product structural analysis Profession Engineering License
