Responsibilities: Manager who will lead the advancement of AI-based process optimization, data-driven manufacturing innovation, and Industrial Engineering (IE) across our semiconductor laser production lines. Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML models for yield improvement, anomaly detection, and process optimization Promote data-driven decision-making by building dashboards, automated analysis tools, and data pipelines Identify and execute manufacturing improvement projects focusing on cycle-time reduction, bottleneck removal, and process stability Collaborate with product, quality, and process engineering teams to implement integrated manufacturing solutions Expected Background: Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field Several years of experience in manufacturing engineering or data analytics Strong motivation to apply AI technologies to real manufacturing challenges Experience leading technical projects or improvement activities Expected Skill: Hands-on experience applying AI or machine-learning techniques to real datasets or manufacturing problems Practical experience with data analysis tools (Python, SQL, JMP, Power BI, etc.) Understanding of manufacturing processes and basic industrial engineering concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Fluent Japanese speaker and Basic communication skills in English (reading/writing and participating in online meetings or email discussions) Preferred Skills: Experience in high-tech or semiconductor manufacturing Knowledge of MES systems or digital manufacturing tools Experience applying AI models to real-world production operations We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
