Job Description Senior Manager, Data Quality & Data Stewardship Location: Bangalore, India About the Position The Global Enterprise Data Management Team is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager, Data Quality & Data Stewardship to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. This role leads both our Data Quality (DQ) and Data Stewardship functions within India, including direct management of the stewardship team. You will own our foundational data strategy, drive AI readiness across both functions, and partner with stakeholders to deliver measurable data improvement. This is a high-visibility role for a strong people manager who is equally comfortable driving strategic roadmaps and getting into the data with SQL. Who we are looking for: We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented leader who combines deep expertise in data quality and stewardship with strong people management and a genuine passion for AI-enabled ways of working. This role requires someone equally comfortable managing a distributed team in India, partnering with senior business stakeholders, and rolling up their sleeves with SQL, Collibra and PowerBI. True ownership, clear communication, and a drive to fix foundational data problems are the keys to success in this position. Responsibilities: Strategy & Roadmap Help drive the enterprise Data Quality & Data Stewardship strategy and multi-year roadmap tied to business outcomes (order-to-cash, supply chain, finance, customer/product master) Lead strategic, foundational data improvement projects — identifying systemic gaps, prioritizing by business impact, and driving root cause fixes with system/process owners Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align priorities, drive adoption, and deliver outcomes AI Readiness & Ways of Working Drive the implementation of AI readiness strategy for both functions in India: stewardship team builds semantic context and data definitions that make our data AI-consumable; DQ team develops trust cards that surface data quality signals for AI consumption Map how both teams can leverage AI in day-to-day workflows and lead the change management required to optimize ways of working with AI Ensure both teams fully understand and own their role in AI readiness; drive adoption through clear accountability and ongoing change management Team & Operations Directly manage the India stewardship team — goals, skills, operating norms, and accountability Run the DQ operating model (intake, triage, remediation, validation, closure) and the stewardship operating model (data ownership, definitions, escalation paths, domain coverage) Own and mature Data Quality Platform: profiling, rule development, monitoring, alerting, and scorecards Lead RCA to eliminate recurring defects and drive permanent fixes; partner with Data Engineering to embed preventive controls into pipelines Deliver DQ and stewardship transparency via Power BI scorecards and executive readouts Coach and grow a high-performing team across DQ and stewardship; develop skills in SQL, Collibra, AI tools, and RCA Requirements & Skills 10+ years in data quality, stewardship, and/or governance, including 5+ years managing people; demonstrated success managing distributed or offshore teams Familiarity with modern data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, DGPO, or DCAM Advanced in SQL for profiling, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and trend analysis Experienced implementing and operating Collibra Data Quality in production (rules, monitoring, scorecards, workflows) Hands-on experience applying AI for data quality and stewardship (anomaly detection, auto-classification, stewardship automation); able to build and socialize an AI readiness roadmap including change management for new ways of working Proven at partnering with business stakeholders to align priorities, drive adoption, and deliver outcomes Skilled at designing enterprise DQ and stewardship processes, standards, and measurement frameworks Strong in RCA and capable of coaching a team to execute and prevent recurrence Proficient in Power BI for stakeholder-ready dashboards and DQ scorecards Language: fluent in English Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills; proven ability to drive change, build cross-functional relationships, and navigate complex organizational dynamics with adaptability and influence Commitment to continuous learning; actively stays up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in data, AI, and the broader technology landscape Nice to Have Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud (catalog/glossary/lineage) Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and their associated data services Familiarity with emerging data architectures such as Data Fabric and Data Mesh CPG/manufacturing and SAP/ERP ecosystem experience Prior India-based or offshore team management experience What we offer you An ambitious employer; we’re looking for the best for you A high-impact role at the center of Kraft Heinz’s data and AI transformation agenda Ownership of a critical, cross-functional program with direct exposure to senior leadership The opportunity to shape how AI is adopted into data quality and stewardship ways of working A competitive salary Always room for new insights; if you have an excellent idea, please let us know and we can set it in action!
