Insurance Escalator Engineer (Heathrow) Mon-Thu Nights

Location: Heathrow | KONE Hours: 40 hours – Nights, Monday–Thursday Option 1: 20:00–07:00

Option 2: 19:00–06:00

1 hour lunch Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays

Role Overview

We are looking for a VB Escalator Inspector to join our Heathrow team on a night shift pattern. This role focuses on the inspection, testing, and verification of escalators to ensure they meet KONE safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities Carry out VB inspections and testing on Lifts

Identify defects, wear, and safety risks

Ensure compliance with KONE standards and industry regulations

Complete accurate inspection reports using KONE systems

Work closely with service and repair teams to plan corrective actions

Support safety audits and site procedures

Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and safe working

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working on Escalators in a service/inspection environment

• Good technical understanding of escalator components and safety circuits

• Ability to follow inspection processes and report clearly

• Strong focus on safety and quality

• Able to work night shifts Mon–Thu

• Full UK driving licence and ability to meet Heathrow clearance
