About the role
Solution Architecture and Strategy: o Collaborate with stakeholders to define the long-term BI strategy, including selecting appropriate tools and technologies. o Design and develop data models, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) packages, OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) cubes, and reports utilizing Power BI, while adhering to best practices. o Document source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and database design. o Work with APIs and tools like Postman to build and test APIs, integrating them seamlessly into the overall architecture. 2. Data Modeling and Governance: o Develop and maintain reference architectures for reports based on various data sources (Data Warehouse, SharePoint, etc.). o Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including proper data refreshes and publishing of common dataset hierarchies. o Implement security measures to protect sensitive data. 3. Technical Leadership and Collaboration: o Lead technical reviews of reports and dashboards before production deployment. o Optimize data flows by identifying areas for improvement. o Provide hands-on guidance to users in optimizing their data models and reports, ensuring efficient performance and usability 4. Power BI Premium Capacity Management: o Manage Power BI Premium capacity, including allocation, monitoring, and optimization. o Allocate workspaces effectively based on business needs. o Ensure efficient utilization of resources within the Premium capacity 5. User Support and Community Engagement: o Address user questions related to Power BI and other BI technologies within the organization. o Proactively troubleshoot and fix data model issues for users when necessary. o Organize monthly community calls to support, train, and guide citizen developers, fostering a strong BI community.
