About the role
TITLE- Service Technician Location – Haldia WD No: WD30273820
What you will do
Diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships. Execute retrofit and commissioning activities for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam). Perform annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems. Troubleshoot software issues within control panels, including program upload/download.
How you will do it
Interpret manuals, P&ID diagrams, and electrical drawings for troubleshooting. Apply control philosophy knowledge to implement retrofit solutions. Analyze onboard logbook data to identify and resolve system defects. Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and operational excellence.
What we look for

Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on service experience

Required Expertise in servicing Addressable Fire Detection Systems and Fire Extinguishing Systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and report-writing abilities. Willingness to travel across Indian ports. Preferred

Knowledge of conventional/addressable fire detection systems. Experience with naval and marine ship systems.
