IT Operations Engineer

Role summary

You will manage infrastructure and operating environments, respond to incidents, and improve system reliability through automation. This role blends hands-on engineering with operational ownership, giving you exposure to cloud, containers, and enterprise-scale platforms. Your focus will include: Managing Linux and Windows environments Supporting virtualized and containerized platforms Monitoring system performance and resolving incidents Automating repetitive operational tasks Improving reliability, availability, and scalability

About the team

You will join a globally connected operations environment supporting Retail Banking services. The team works across infrastructure, platforms, and applications—collaborating closely with engineering, security, and architecture teams. Expect a diverse, international setup where knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.

Required skills We’re looking for engineers who are curious, proactive, and comfortable working across technologies.

Core technical skills: Strong experience with Linux and Windows systems Virtualization (VMWare or similar) Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, load balancing) Engineering & operations: Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go) CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git) Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) Monitoring and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK) Incident and problem management Nice to have: Database knowledge (SQL) Experience with IT risk controls, audit support, or compliance Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery setups What we offer A collaborative and inclusive work environment Opportunities to work with modern cloud and automation technologies Exposure to global systems and large-scale infrastructure Continuous learning and development opportunities A role that combines engineering depth with operational impact
