Senior E-Commerce Strategist & AI Analyst Description - About the Role As an E-Commerce Data & AI Analyst within the E-commerce Category Analytics Team, you will help shape HP's global e-commerce strategy by solving complex business problems through data. We are looking for a technically strong analytics professional who can bridge the gap between data, technology, and business. You will partner closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations that drive measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with business curiosity, excellent communication, and a passion for leveraging AI and automation to improve decision-making and create business value. What You'll Do Analyze large and complex datasets to identify opportunities, risks, trends, and actionable business insights across category, pricing, and supply chain domains. Apply statistical and analytical techniques to understand business performance, identify key drivers, and support data-driven decision-making. Partner closely with category managers and business stakeholders to understand challenges, frame business problems, and develop analytical solutions. Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations. Leverage AI-powered tools, automation, and agent-based workflows to improve productivity, streamline analysis, and accelerate business outcomes. Develop scalable analytical frameworks, dashboards, and automated solutions that enable self-service insights and decision-making. Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and external development teams to deliver scalable analytical solutions. Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across datasets, reports, and dashboards. Communicate findings, recommendations, trade-offs, and business implications through clear storytelling and effective data visualization. Influence strategic decisions by providing data-driven perspectives and recommendations to stakeholders across multiple functions. Identify and prioritize analytical opportunities that deliver measurable business value. What We're Looking For Strong analytical and technical capabilities with the ability to independently solve complex business problems. Genuine curiosity about how the business operates and a desire to understand the context behind the data. Ability to connect analytical findings to business priorities and commercial outcomes. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex analyses, technical concepts, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. A pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions using data. Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies, particularly AI, automation, and emerging analytical tools. Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions through insights and evidence. A strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering business impact. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or data science roles. Strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience analyzing large and complex datasets, automating workflows, and developing scalable analytical solutions. Solid foundation in statistics and analytical methodologies. Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Demonstrated experience solving business problems and delivering measurable business outcomes through analytics. Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize opportunities, and support decision-making. Hands-on experience using Generative AI, AI-powered analytics tools, automation frameworks, or AI agents to improve workflows and business outcomes. Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Strong project ownership and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in e-commerce, retail, category management, pricing, supply chain, or digital commerce analytics. Experience with Databricks or modern cloud-based analytics platforms. Experience building AI-enabled analytical solutions, agent-based workflows, or automation frameworks. Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices. Exposure to predictive analytics, machine learning, or optimization techniques. Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
