Job Description

We are seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join our dynamic 10-person delivery team, focusing on the MB ecosystem of intrusion and access control products. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced professional with proven expertise in software and firmware development, as well as a strong background in DevSecOps and platform design. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge solutions that enhance security and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software and firmware solutions for intrusion and access control systems within the MB ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product managers to define system requirements and deliver high-quality products on schedule.
  • Implement secure coding practices and integrate security into every phase of the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Contribute to the architecture and platform design of embedded systems and related software environments.
  • Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Document software designs, specifications, and procedures to facilitate team collaboration and future maintenance, stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to security and access control solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred), minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software and firmware development.
  • Proficiency in C# or C++ or Python programming languages.
  • Extensive experience working in Linux and FreeRTOS environments, ability to read schematics and interface with hardware.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps practices and platform design.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
