What are the challenges and how will you make an impact?
LenelS2’s Custom Solutions Team develops custom software that extends the OnGuard security platform. These applications are critical to the security operations of Fortune 100 firms, financial institutions, universities, and government facilities. As a member of the LenelS2 Custom Solutions team, you would be involved in the entire software development lifecycle.
In this position, you will assist in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of customer driven software solutions that meet the unique requirements of our customers. This position will be responsible for completing projects as assigned to include custom Crystal Reports, data import and export, custom application integrations and custom database programming (SQL triggers and stored procedures). Responsibilities will also include providing support for existing customers of Lenel’s Custom Solutions, performing remote and, on-site as needed, installation of Custom Solutions-developed software.

Overview
As a Custom Solutions Software Engineer, you will assist in the design, development and installation of software applications that extend and enhance the OnGuard product. Your projects would include custom integrations to third party software systems, extensions to OnGuard to allow our customers to meet regulatory compliance guidelines, and custom applications that help ensure the safety and security of our customer’s employees and facilities.
Responsibilities
- 5+ years of experience as a Software developer with experience in C#
- Develop software solutions on schedule that meet customer requirements
- Test software prior to installation to ensure we deliver high quality solutions every time
- Install software on customer systems. Installation is typically installed over a remote connection, though on-site installation is possible for high security sites without an internet connection to their security network
- Test and provide sustaining engineering for existing commercially available software solutions developed by the Custom Solutions team
- Prepare documents with requirements and propose solutions based on customers’ requests,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or suitable experience
Technical Qualifications
- Experience developing software applications using C#
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience testing and supporting software installations,
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to emerging technologies,
- Experience with REST API definitions and implementations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL Server database development using T-SQL and writing SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions
- Experience with Crystal Reports
- Knowledge of ASP.NET, ADO.NET and WinForms
- Knowledge of REST API principles
- Knowledge of Javascript/Typescript and web applications,
- Experience with access controls devices (?),
- Experience with binary protocols used to M2M communication
- Experience developing test plans and procedures
