Field Service Engineer - Electromechanical & PLC Controls
Location: Southeast Region (OK, AR, TX, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC)
Join Honeywell Intelligrated – a global leader in warehouse automation and material handling solutions. We’re seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to provide top-tier support to our customers’ distribution centers. You’ll travel extensively (up to 95%) to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of electromechanical systems, including conveyors, robotic applications, sortation systems, palletizers, and PLC controls.
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and PLC-based equipment (Allen Bradley, Modicon, etc.)

Provide on-site customer support, including emergency service calls, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.

Use your expertise to program, modify, and debug PLC code and robotic applications.

Train and mentor field service technicians on equipment and controls.

Develop and submit detailed service reports, including program updates and drawings.

Work independently and with teams to complete projects efficiently and on time.

YOU MUST HAVE
-
3+ years of expert-level PLC programming skills (Allen Bradley and other PLC systems).

3+ years of strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

3+ years of electro-mechanical field service experience.

3+ years of MS Office products and Operating Systems (i.e. Windows XP).

Valid Driver's license.

Reliable transportation to a major airport (Must be within a One Hour commute of nearest airport).

Willingness to travel 95% of the time throughout the Southeast United States

Technical degree and/or certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical, electronics or similar.

Honeywell Intelligrated material handling equipment maintenance experience.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
