Join Hitachi Energy as a Design Tool Domain Expert and play a key role in shaping the next generation of transformer design platforms. In this role, you will act as a bridge between engineering and digital solutions, ensuring that new functionalities within design tools are technically robust, user‑friendly, and aligned with real‑world engineering workflows. You will collaborate closely with R&D, software teams, and end‑users, validating innovative solutions through hands‑on design work and contributing to the continuous evolution of engineering tools. This is a unique opportunity to combine deep electrical design expertise with digital innovation, improving how engineers design, test, and deliver transformer solutions globally.

How You Will Make an Impact

Develop and execute real electrical design cases to validate new functionalities within the design platform Test and verify applications and features in close collaboration with R&D and software teams Analyze the impact of new solutions on design practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability Define and maintain technical specifications based on backlog priorities and user needs Act as a key interface between engineering users and development teams, translating requirements into improvements Identify gaps, issues, and optimization opportunities during testing and drive corrective actions Support users by troubleshooting technical questions and ensuring smooth adoption of new tools Contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement of testing methodologies

Your Background

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Strong experience in transformer electrical design, with knowledge of dielectric, impulse, and short‑circuit behavior preferred Hands‑on mindset with the ability to validate solutions through real design applications Interest in engineering tools, digital platforms, and system development Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills in a global environment Ability to bridge engineering and software perspectives with effective communication skills
