Job Description Summary

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities As part of Project execution team responsible for detailed engineering of LV/MV Drives, Transformer, RMU, Switchgear and AC/DC cables and Power Electronics equipment. Electrical system design, Power electronic product hardware design / loss budget calculation / Earth & Protection circuits /Arc Flash Calculation/ RCA. Understand product / project specifications and realize requirements to design using calculations, modelling and simulations to fulfil project requirements. Design system/equipment to meet reliability, testing standards, manufacturability, material and cost guidelines Prepare & validate design documents - Configurations, principles of operation, application guidelines, specifications, GA, BOM, SLD & Schematics drawings as per requirement for above specified products. Verify functional performance of Inverter, Transformer and RMU equipment’s under all specified operating conditions. Support Manufacturing for component installation, wire harness, cables routing and maintain clarence and creepages at Factory / Vendor facility. Document functional test requirements and conduct test according to applicable standards (UL/IEC etc.…) /conduct project FAT’s. Coordinate with System Engineer and Program / Product / Project manager execution on a continuous basis. Take care of project deliverables, co-ordinate with multiple stake holders, detailed engineering, controls software validation, commissioning support for Solar, Battery energy storage system (BESS) & Hybrid Plant Control System and Inverter.

Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor/master’s degree in electrical/electronic/instrumentation/controls Engineering or Equivalent. Min. 4+ years of Electrical design, Power electronic design, Project execution, EPC, Industrial drives, Control Panels, Switchboards, PLC Panels etc., Preferred experience/knowledge in Electrical design / Simulation tools like AUTOCAD / E-Plan, ETAP and MATLAB. In-depth knowledge of LV/MV drives, Transformer, RMU, Power plant control for Solar & BESS application. Experience in interpreting power system design output such as: SLDs, LV & MV Protection & Co-ordination / Voltage Drop / Dip Calculations / Load Flow and Fault Studies / Transient System and scenario analysis / Harmonic (VTHD) calculations / MV & LV power system cabling (cable selection, rating etc.) / Quality of Power Supply / EMC. Demonstrated Software and hardware expertise in Solar, Energy storage, Plant level controls, validation and verification, systems integration, advanced controls, or related technologies. Experience in GE’s MarkVIe product & tools like GE’s Toolbox ST, Workstation ST, Cimplicity software (SCADA), P80i software, HDM & Simulink.
